To BEE or Not to Bee: Revlon Colorstay and Kiss Products Review

People really need to talk about Revlon products more often because they have some good stuff.  There’s some Positive BUZZ and some BEE Shopping recommendations here.  I’ve been sent these as PR for testing and review purposes.  What is your favourite Revlon product that I should try?

Colorstay Full Cover Foundation Matte 24 Hours 150 Buff and 100 Ivory are actually full coverage.  I’ve been applying just a pea sized amount (don’t put on too much) with my fingers.  I can go with no or minimal under eye concealer with this foundation.  I have set with a powder and worn it alone and had no difference in staying power throughout the day.  I have normal to combination skin, but I gave a couple of friends a bit in a small jar and their oily skin didn’t play well with this.   $16.96 at WalMart Canada

Colorstay Brow Kit in 104 Soft Brown  $15.46 at WalMart Canada is good and the two little brushes in the compact are useful.  I can fill in the sparse areas of my brows and keep them in place.  Super easy to use.  POSITIVE BUZZ

Colorstay Creme Eye Shadow 24 hours in 725 Honey $8.46 at WalMart Canada.  Best applied with the little brush that lives in the lid.  I suggest wiping the brush off to get it clean before putting it back in the lid.  This stays all day without budging.  I love wearing it alone, with powder shadows and as a base for other eye shadows.  Very versatile.

Kiss Balm SPF 20 in Berry Burst and Exfoliating Balm in Sugar Mint  $7.96 set at WalMart Canada.  I’ll use these up but probably won’t repurchase.  The exfoliating balm could use more scrubby particles and while the balm is hydrating and a nice colour it doesn’t last long on the lips.  I enjoyed using this for a quick hit of colour during the summer.

Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme in 510 Nude Honey and 505 Apricot Silk. This formula is fantastic but these two colours are too light for me.  Highly recommend Barely Blush instead.  $12.46 at WalMart Canada
