BEE Sun Safe this Summer

As someone who is pale I am in need of sunscreen for anything more than 15 minutes outside.  Without it I burn and peel.  No nice tan for me, just pale skin and freckles.  This summer I’ve been using 2 different products sent to me free for PR purposes.  To be sure any sun protection products are right for you, always read and follow the labels.

Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early signs of aging (my freckles are looking more like age spots every year).

I’ve tested the NEW Coppertone ClearlySheer formula a few times.  I like that I can’t smell the sunscreen scent after a few minutes and I didn’t have a weird white cast to my skin where I applied it.  Check out the picture of the foamy, whipped formula.  I used this on my face instead of moisturizer too on super humid days.  It’s the only hydrating Whipped sunscreen available in Canada.

Coppertone ClearlySheer Whipped ($9.97) will be available at mass, drug and grocery retailers across Canada as of February 2018.
For more information, visit www.coppertone.ca .  For printable coupons you can visit the savings page.   Available at time of posting of course.

  • “SPF 50, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection when used as directed along with other sun protection measures, it can help decrease the risk of early skin aging caused by the sun
  • New format glides on easily and absorbs quickly
  • The only hydrating whipped sunscreen
  • Moisturizing formula helps keep skin smooth and soft
  • Light and fresh clean scent
  • Water resistant (80 minutes)
  • Use and reapply as directed”

I got this Boo Bamboo spray on SPF 30 in a blogger box from M2Brand Management. It’s a more natural sunscreen that I used a bit this past summer, but I know the SPF will expire over the winter so I might as well use it to protect my skin. I plan to add it to my morning skin care to use up. This was handy to take on vacation or throw in your bag to reapply.

For those of you who prefer something more natural, you should check out Boo Bamboo Natural Sunscreen available at Well.ca ($14.99 for the mini).  Since I was sent Boo Bamboo in a travel size for PR purposes, this has been great to throw in my purse and I’ve left a second one at work in case I need it there.  It is non-whitening, fast-absorbing, water resistant, unscented, non-nano, paraben and DEA free, cruelty free and vegan.  This has worked well for me and I’ve also used this on my face in place of moisturizer.

“@boobambooproducts  The original creators of Boo Bamboo, who spent their entire careers working in the hair care industry, know that you don’t have to compromise performance by going natural!! All of Boo Bamboo’s products use certified organic bamboo extract at the highest possible concentration. Boo Bamboo formulas are completely biodegradable, cruelty free and vegan, and use food grade flavouring for the fresh scent (perfect for sensitive skin).”
