The Aromatherapy Beauty Guide Book Review

Thank you to Robert Rose Inc. for sending me a copy of Danielle Sade’s “THE AROMATHERAPY BEAUTY GUIDE Using the Science of Carrier & Essential Oils to Create Natural Personal Care Products” for free to write a review.  I’m just getting into using essential oils so this came along at a great time and I’m excited to do some DIY products.  This product gets a positive Buzz rating from AngelaBeeI give this a Positive BUZZ.  Think about getting it as a gift for yourself or someone else.

This is not just a recipe book, this will educate you on skin, basic ingredients, tools you will need, and essential oils.  Unsure what type of skin you have?  That’s OK, the book walks you through dry to sensitive skin, combination, oily and aging skin differences and the ingredients that work best for each.

New to raw ingredients as well?  Read about the “raw ingredients you’ll need to get started (clays, flours and grains) as well as comprehensive information on the important role of carrier oils. Author, Danielle, discusses the essential properties of 16 carrier oils like Coconut Oil, Jojoba, and Marula Oil. Plant butters such as Shea butter as well as herbal infusions are also featured for their healing and therapeutic properties. 35 essential oils are featured from Bergamot and Carrot Seed to Roman Chamomile.”

Of course there are the recipes to make both facial and body care products.  Here’s the Basic Moisturizing Cream instructions which are very simple to follow.  I also like the photographs that walk you through mixing and measuring.  Did you think making your own personal care products could be so easy?  Give it a try!!

“Danielle Sade, B.Sc. in Nutrition & CAHP is the founder of Healing Fragrances School of Aromatherapy. Having over 30 years of experience in teaching, practicing, researching plant based medicine and Aromatherapy internationally, has led Danielle to create unique approaches to understanding and imparting studies in Aromatherapy and the science behind essential oils that make them unique and effective in their therapeutic properties.

Danielle has been President of the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists (CFA) for three different terms and is an active member of the CFA’s educational committee.   Her drive to take on these roles was recognizing the need for higher educational curriculums, standards and the safe use of essential oils in Aromatherapy practices throughout Canada.  She was and still is instrumental in developing policy, standards and by-laws for the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapist as an organization to represent Aromatherapy as a professional career in complimentary health and beauty sciences.

Danielle lives with her husband near Toronto, Ontario and continues to be inspired and inspires her family, friends, students and colleagues, to work towards plant based integrative medicine with healthy lifestyles approaches for sustainable living.”
