Thank you to Robert Rose Inc. for sending me a copy of Danielle Sade’s “THE AROMATHERAPY BEAUTY GUIDE Using the Science of Carrier & Essential Oils to Create Natural Personal Care Products” for free to write a review. I’m just getting into using essential oils so this came along at a great time and I’m excited to do some DIY products. I give this a Positive BUZZ. Think about getting it as a gift for yourself or someone else.
This is not just a recipe book, this will educate you on skin, basic ingredients, tools you will need, and essential oils. Unsure what type of skin you have? That’s OK, the book walks you through dry to sensitive skin, combination, oily and aging skin differences and the ingredients that work best for each.
New to raw ingredients as well? Read about the “raw ingredients you’ll need to get started (clays, flours and grains) as well as comprehensive information on the important role of carrier oils. Author, Danielle, discusses the essential properties of 16 carrier oils like Coconut Oil, Jojoba, and Marula Oil. Plant butters such as Shea butter as well as herbal infusions are also featured for their healing and therapeutic properties. 35 essential oils are featured from Bergamot and Carrot Seed to Roman Chamomile.”
Of course there are the recipes to make both facial and body care products. Here’s the Basic Moisturizing Cream instructions which are very simple to follow. I also like the photographs that walk you through mixing and measuring. Did you think making your own personal care products could be so easy? Give it a try!!
