I have so many foil packets and small sized samples of beauty products in my office right now and I’m not the only one. I recently watched WTF..Zar.’s video called Sampled Out 2016 and committed to joining her this year in decluttering my vanity by using up all samples. Check below to see what I used up this past week.
Any weeks that I do use even one sample sized product I’ll post my thoughts on the blog. This will also make my monthly empties posts smaller since I’ve previously been including samples and will stop doing that with this new Sampled Out Sunday post. Leave me a comment below on what samples you used up recently.
Each will get rated using my exclusive system.
BUZZ Off means I won’t buy it or recommend it to anyone. Positive BUZZ is for those items I like but didn’t love enough to put on my purchase list. A BEE Shopping rating is for those products I plan to purchase and I recommend to you as well.
What I Sampled Out Lately:
This Angel Eau De Parfum by Thierry Muglersmelled so bad on me that I had to go take a shower after spritzing a bit on each of my wrists. I will not be purchasing a full size and I will pass along any sample that come my way.
I liked this Perfect Cover B.B. Cream with SPF 42 PA+++ in No. 27 Honey Beige from Missha M which is a Korean brand available in Canada. Clearly this colour is too dark but I made it work by sheering it out under my jawline and extending it onto my neck. I got enough coverage that I didn’t use any concealer, just an under eye highlighting pen. I got two compliments that I looked tanned and not as pale as usual. According to the packaging it “offers a novel skin care concept with B.B. Cream, which lightens skin tone by healing visible wrinkles and blemishes with excellent skin-cover ability, and prevents skin aging through effective whitening and anti-wrinkle properties.” I only got one use of this so I can’t comment on the anti-aging and lightening benefits. I would consider buying a full size of this ($23.99 CDN for 50mL) in the future when I’m next on the market for a BB Cream.
