I can’t believe this month is over already and that I celebrated my 39th birthday. How crazy that time flies so fast. Here we are once again taking a look at the products I used up the past month, my opinions, and most importantly my BEE ratings. If you are new to my blog here is how I rate products.
A positive buzz means I like it, but don’t feel you or I have to run out and purchase it today. ——————>
The most coveted rating is BEE Shopping which means I love it and think we should all run out and buy it immediately, sometimes in bulk.
Leave me a comment below and tell me what you used up during June. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my beauty trash shown in the picture below.
1 sample of Mary Kay’s Granite Mineral Eye Shadow which is one of my top 5 MK shadows. I took this in my purse in case I needed a touch up later and I did so used it up that way. I have a full size I use often, but a few samples that are getting a bit old that I want to use up. This is a grey-brown eye shadow that can be paired with either warm, neutral or cool shades.
2 samples of Olay Fresh Effects Clear Skin Swirled Mattifiers which I enjoyed but won’t purchase as I really like the next empty for a primer, but if you are looking for a drug store priced primer, check our the Olay Fresh Effects. It worked well at keeping my makeup in place for the day and had a nice scent.
1 deluxe sample of Benefit’s Porefessional which is my absolute favourite primer right now and I’ve already purchased the deluxe travel size at Sephora. This really does blur your pores and keep your makeup in place for a long time. It is also tinted which I liked, but have no idea if that’s important to whether it works well or not. I suspect it assists with evening out skin tone and I have red cheeks that need the coverage.
e.l.f. Eye Refresh is one of those products that lasted forever even with daily use and just didn’t do anything from what I could see. It’s a clear liquid that comes out through a metal roller ball system that feels cool when applied and that is the most exciting thing about it, other than it’s inexpensive. I did apply this once over top of makeup and it moved my foundation and concealer so I didn’t try that again. I don’t recommend this product, although there are lots of other great e.l.f. beauty products I love. All brands have at least one dud in the line, but don’t let that one stop you from trying the rest. You can purchase other e.l.f. products by clicking here.
Mary Kay Cosmetics TimeWise Firming Eye Cream is my favourite anti-aging eye cream and the one I always go back to because I can see the difference when I don’t use it faithfully. Besides being hydrating, it does reduce fine lines, crows feet, and the dreaded crepey eye lids, which are the bane of an eye shadow lovers existence. I use this both morning and night if I’m not testing out something else. I already have a backup ready to go when I use up the two I’m currently reviewing.
Marcelle Travel Size Moisture Cream and Night Cream I picked up on a whim one day at Shoppers Drug Mart because they were on clearance and I had just finished the day cream I had been testing out for Aveeno. These took me 6 weeks to use up which I thought was great for the size of the tubes. I liked them both alright but there wasn’t anything life changing about either. I do wish the Moisture Cream had an SPF as well. If I saw these on clearance again I would pick them up since I liked the scent, the moisturizing qualities, and the feel of my skin.
Avon Naturals Sunny Splendeur Strawberry & Guava Hydrating Shower Gel as always one of these was used up this past month. If you follow my empties on a regular basis you are probably getting so bored of hearing how great Avon’s shower gels are, but they are!! Plus right now in Campaign 15 I see you can buy 3 of them for only $6.00. Now’s the perfect time to take my BEE Shopping recommendation. Go visit Julie’s Avon Page to order or find an Avon rep in your area.
Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Rejuvenating Shampoo & Conditioner deluxe size samples I received free from both BzzAgent and Shoppers Drug Mart to try out and review on my blog. John used most of this set up and he liked them so much we’ve already purchased another set. Both of us enjoyed the scent and felt our hair was softer and looked shinier than usual. This is a permanent addition to our shampoo and conditioner rotation.
L’Oreal Hair Expertise Fibralogy Thickening Booster is a miracle worker. I was having huge problems with my hair thinning and falling out due to scalp psoriasis when this arrived from Influenster in the mail, free for reviewing purposes. I also received the Shampoo and Conditioner but there’s still a bit left of those because they come in larger containers. The set is made to work together so don’t just buy the booster alone. Buy 2 boosters with 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner. The booster is very liquid so be careful when squeezing it out into your hand. You only need about a quarter sized amount for shoulder length hair. This goes on after rinsing our the thickening shampoo and then you apply the fibralogy conditioner directly on top of the booster. Leave this in for a couple minutes and then rinse out. My hair was repaired, less damaged, and it was thicker. I went from four twists in an elastic for a pony tail to three. I had many comments on the look of my hair and quite a few patches are growing back. I have to say that some of this is related to eating healthier, but the thickness is definitely from the Fibralogy set of products. I’ve already repurchased a booster and am part way through it already too.PLEASE LIKE, COMMENT, AND SHARE MY POSTS Most items for review were purchased by me with my own money, given to me as gifts, or sent to me for review purposes.
