For approximately the past month I have been using Landeva Organics for my face and body skin care routines. I received these free from Landeva in order to test them out and write an honest review. Here’s some information about the company first and then I’ll tell you what I think of the products I’ve used.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. “Landeva products are sustainably hand-crafted in small batches.” Ingredients like argan oil, shea butter, aloe vera, botanical oils, and essential oils are used. This line is 100% natural skin care and are organic or wild-crafted. There are no chemical additives, so natural botanical preservatives with appropriate packaging are used. Nothing is tested on animals. Find out more at http://www.landeva.com
I received a beautifully presented box including a hand written thank you note in November. As you can see Landeva sent me four products. Three are full size and one is a deluxe sample. Total retail value approximately $66.00. To give a good review, I stopped using my other skin care products and have concentrated on just these for the last 30 days and I am impressed. Each product below has a link to the company website for more detailed information. None of these are affiliate links, so I do NOT earn any money if you make a purchase, although I do get to keep the products I received for free.
Oatmeal and Pink Clay Facial Soap (130g, $8.50) I cut this in half and am using one to wash my face both morning and night, and the other half for my body in the shower or bath. I have already placed an order for another facial soap to have as a back up as this does not irritate the psoriasis that has appeared since last January. One tip though, you will need an eye makeup remover if you wear mascara as the soap stings my eyes a bit if I use on my eyes. In a month I have only used about one third of the soap bar, so I can see one lasting at least three months for most people. This gets the coveted BEE Shopping recommendation from me.
Rose Nourishing Toner (3.8 fl. oz., $20.00) When I remember to, I use the toner. It smells nice and leaves my skin feeling fresh, but I don’t notice a difference between it and any other toner I’ve ever used. The ingredients, however, are all natural, suitable for all skin types and the price is equivalent to what I tend to spend on a product of this type so that does sway me to consider switching. I have ordered a sample pack which contains another deluxe sample of this toner, so I am going to continue to use it before making my final decision and investing in a full size. This gets a positive buzz.
Argan Shea Face Balm (2 fl. oz., $28.00) I use this balm morning and evening on my face, neck, and on the psoriasis behind my ears. You do not need very much product as it seems to melt when applied to skin and spreads easily. It also smells good. My skin tends to be combination to oily, but I have not had any extra oiliness or break outs with this face balm. The redness in my cheeks (possibly rosacea) has lessened.
I love multi-tasking products so if I happen to have leftovers on my fingertips I smooth it on my lips, dry elbows, and cuticles. Additional ideas that I haven’t tried yet, but that are listed on the website are to use it as a cleansing balm to remove makeup (maybe for the eye area?) or as a leave in conditioner for your hair. I do wonder if this might be too much hydration for the summer when it’s humid here, and plan to test it out then as well, but for now it is perfect for our cold winter. In the sample pack I’ve ordered, there is a travel size of the Argan Shea Face Balm. This gets a BEE Shopping recommendation.
Hair and Body Oil (3.8 fl. oz., $29.00) I use this once, sometimes twice a day anywhere I have psoriasis (ears, arms, chest, stomach) and have noticed a significant reduction in redness, dryness, and most importantly to me, almost no itching! It smells spicy and herbally at first, but after a few minutes dissipates, so I have been able to wear perfume as well. I also apply this to my hair, where I also have psoriasis and have massaged it into my scalp and left overnight. I do notice my hair is super soft after washing the next day, but there has been no change in my scalp, which is disappointing. With the drastic difference this oil has made in clearing up the psoriasis on my body, I have already placed an order for another bottle. This gets a BEE Shopping recommendation from me.
I should note that no where do these products make claims to cure or relieve anything like rosacea or psoriasis, this was just something I noticed and thought I would share. All in all, I am going to give this Canadian company a BEE Shopping recommendation. Check them out at http://www.landeva.com and at least get a sample pack ($12.00) to test their 100% natural products out for yourself.
