Last week I received this Vichy ProEVEN Night sample, coupon and info card in the mail. I decided to use the sample as an overnight treatment. I cleansed my face with my usual Bare Face Cleansing Oil from Julep. I applied the ProEVEN Night sample on face and neck making sure to avoid eyes and lips as per the instructions. Unfortunately this product has a very perfumey smell. After an hour on my face, it’s feeling very smooth, but I can still smell it. In the morning I washed my face using my Botanical Effects Cleanser from Mary Kay. My skin doesn’t feel any different or look any different than before I used the ProEVEN Night, but I think one would have to use it for a longer period of time to see whether it worked or not.
Product Claims and How to Use from http://www.en.vichy.ca/Ranges/ProEVEN/r200.aspx : “Vichy’s 1st dark spots overnight concentrate, with skin resurfacing and brightening effect from the 1st morning, and effective reduction on the look of dark spots in 4 weeks. Hydroquinone-free and paraben-free.”
“Combine 2 different application methods for boosted results:
1. Use every night as a NIGHT TREATMENT applying a thin layer on cleansed face.
2. Use once or twice a week as a MASK, following these steps:
a. Apply in thick layer all over a cleansed face.
b. Allow product to infuse into the skin for 5 minutes.
c. Remove excess with cotton pad.”
Pros: Can be used daily as a night treatment or as a mask. I have a coupon for $5.00 off.
Cons: I really don’t like being able to smell my skin care products while they are on my face and this product smells like a heavy flowery perfume. I only had enough for one treatment and don’t feel or see a difference.
UPDATE after I shared my post on the Vichy Facebook page.
