Even though John and I were just running errands on Saturday, I decided to take some time to try out some new products. I started with my regular skin care routine of Mary Kay cleanser, and moisturizer. I added e.l.f Eye Refresh* under my eyes and e.l.f. primer* on my lids. I used e.l.f. studio eye brow kit* in Ash to define and powder my brows.
For my eye look I started with a Gold Metallic Mark* eye colour sample all over the lid. This was given to me by Julie Campbell, Avon Representative. There is alot of pigment which gives great colour payoff, but I would do your eye makeup before applying foundation to minimize the potential of fall out. Julep Eye Sheen in Deep Bronze was placed in the outer crease. I added e.l.f. All Over Color Stick* in Spotlight with a brush to highlight the browbone. Julep Ink Gel Liner in Black was applied with an angled brush on the upper lid only followed by Cover Girl LashBlast Volumizing Mascara.
For the first time, I used an e.l.f. Foundation Stick* all over my face and luckily I ordered the right colour! Very tricky when you order something online and don’t get to try before you buy.
Cheeks – e.l.f. Baked Bronzer in Maui as a contour followed by e.l.f. All Over Color Stick* in Golden Peach used as my blush then e.l.f. Baked Highlighter in Blush Gems to highlight my cheekbones and above my eyebrows.
I set everything with e.l.f. Studio High Definiation Powder.
For the lips I applied e.l.f. Tinted Lip Balm with SPF 15 in Nude*. Setting spray seems to be very popular for I am finally testing out the Mary Kay Makeup Finishing Spray*.
So far so good on all new products, except at the end of every day this week I have had dark smudges under my eyes. I have yet to figure out whether it’s the mascara, eye refresh, or liner so I’m going to do some testing to figure out what the problem is.
