Connect with each customer on a personal level instead of just a business level/relationship.
Collect all your customer’s birthdays. Just the month and day, the year isn’t necessary.
Send them a birthday card with a sample inside. Satin Hands foil packs work well or eye creams. Anything that is flat, fits inside the card, and doesn’t require an explanation to use. To keep things simple use 1 kind of sample for the whole year for everyone for easy record keeping. Also offer a free birthday makeover and a free gift when she shares it with 2-5 friends. Free gift ideas are travel size hand cream or a small cosmetic bag.
On the first of the month write up all your cards and insert the samples you need for that month. Where the stamp would go write that date of their birthday. You can mail out all the cards for the entire month or if you go to the post office weekly, just mail out the cards a week in advance.
Here’s an idea of what to write inside (handwritten is more personal of course).
“Wishing you all the best on your birthday.
Let’s get together for a free birthday makeover.
You deserve some pampering.”
Your Name & Phone #
“P.S. Please enjoy this gift of a satin hands sampler.”
I suggest calling your client on their birthday so you can make sure they received their card, used their sample and also to book their makeover. Offer a gift and/or hostess program for sharing with 2-5 friends. Most of all you want to personally wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
For some people yours may be the only card and phone call they received and you will make their day.
If you treat people well and are genuine, they will treat you well.
