Patience
Patience is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is the level of endurance one can take before negativity. It is also used to refer to the character trait of being steadfast.
Obviously I am feeling like I am out of patience, but according to the above definition I am doing very well at moving within a patient attitude. I am practicing deep breathing and not making a decision immediately after being provoked. Take a few minutes to get centred, do the research, and then make a decision based on what is best for everyone and taking myself out of the equation. I really should start meditating I sound so enlightened.

Really Want It by Ralph Marston
If you really want it, you will have it. If it means enough to you, it will happen. For if you really want it, you will find a way. You’ll stop making excuses and start making it real. The obstacles you encounter are not there to prevent you from reaching your goal. The obstacles are there to make sure you really want it. When you really want it, you’ll find a way around, under, above or through each one of those obstacles. And as you do, you’ll be literally creating the value of what you intend to achieve. When you really want it enough, it is in many ways already yours. Full and complete attainment then becomes a matter of going through the motions and following a path that leads surely there. Decide what you really want, and be careful what you decide upon. For when you truly want it, you will make it so. — Ralph MarstonInspired by Million Dollar Neighbourhood
I’ve been watching the TV show Million Dollar Neighbourhood on OWN the past 3 weeks and am inspired by these people and the challenges they have been given. You can follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MillionDollarNeighbourhood#!/MillionDollarNeighbourhood
John and I have started purging areas of the house (actually I have started purging my office stuff) and are planning to have a yard sale in May. We’ve already filled one garbage bag and just started tonight. Tonight’s episode showed the families listing their skills on a white board and participating in a skills exchange with other’s who had skills they needed. They also put support groups together to assist some in gaining full time employment.
These ideas have prompted me to post on my blog my list of skills that might assist me in getting some freelance, part time, or full time employment. We’re in the process of getting our finances in order and learning all we can in this area, so increasing income is part of that plan. I love my business with Mary Kay and my volunteer time with the Backus-Page House Museum, but there are skills I have that I can use to contribute more to our household. I recommend watching this great TV program.
